About Us

Grand Junction Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center is located at 1035 Wellington Avenue Suite 101, Grand Junction, Colorado.  We opened in November, 2004. 

The physician offices and procedure center are located within the same building for our patients convenience.

Grand Junction Gastroenterology serves western Colorado, southwestern Wyoming and eastern Utah.  Our staff currently includes four board certified Gastroenterologists, two Physician Assistants, and over 40 employees.

Our goal is to provide our patients a friendly, comfortable environment with health care providers specifically trained for your healthcare needs.

 

Dr. Seagren

Steven Seagren, M.D. has been practicing in the Grand Junction area since 1995. He attended medical school at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Illinois, and GI specialty training at University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Dr. Prosser

Brent Prosser, M.D. joined our practice in July, 2007. He attended medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, Colorado, and GI specialty training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Prosser did his internal medicine training at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Crafton

Eugene Crafton, M.D. moved from Mississippi to join our practice in August 2008. He comes with 11 years of experience in Gastroenterology. Dr. Crafton completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama in 1995. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He enjoys the management of general digestive, biliary and liver conditions.

Dr. Shields

Wade Shields, D.O. a native of Colorado, attended medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine in Biosciences where he was a member of the Honor Society and graduated with the extreme honor of Summa Cum Laude. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship in San Diego at the Naval Medical Center with a subfellowship in hepatology at Scripps Clinic.  He stayed in San Diego at the Naval Medical Center as faculty for the next five years before deciding it was time to return to Colorado.

Dr. Winters graduated from Cornell University and the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado and completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He spent five years overseas as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and practiced nine years in Seattle, Washington prior to moving to Grand Junction in June, 2015.

Jon Allison

Jon Allison, P.A. joined our practice in April, 2007 and works solely as Dr Seagren's Physician  Assistant.  He has experience in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Gastroenterology.  His training was in Downers Grove, IL, Winter Haven, FL and Lakeland, Florida.  He has been a strong addition to our medical staff.

Karen McGrew, RN NP-C, will be joining our practice as Dr Prosser's mid-level in Feburary 2016.
